Chaco-Main-Llano Loop - Aztec - Walking
This route is comprised of mostly concrete sidewalk and with a couple of street crossings and one undeveloped access ('29 Bridge Access) and is walkable by most physically active individuals. Look for construction on accesses and connections over the 2009 season. Trail Location: Sidewalks along Main Avenue connecting with sidewalks down Llano Street, crossing the Animas Pedestrian Bridge, continuing to the right along the Riverside Loop Trail, then proceeding to the future '29 Bridge Access and crossing the '29 Bridge along the pedestrian boardwalk and continuting along the Chaco Street sidewalk back to Main Avenue.
Trail Surface: Mostly concrete sidewalk with occasional street crossings. In Riverside Park there is asphalt trail that turns into woodchip surface. NOTE - the '29 Bridge Acces is not constructed yet. If you choose to climb this grade you do so at your own risk. Another route is to come up to the street intersection between Hwy 516 and Ruins Road and use the identified crosswalks to get back to the '29 Bridge. The pedestrian boardwalk on the '29 Bridge is wooden plank walkway overhanging the Animas River. From there you join back up with concrete sidewalk along Chaco Street back to Main Avenue.

Other Accessible Amenities: Encompases Aztec's historic downtown, Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village, Hartman Sports Complex, Animas Pedestrian Bridge, Riverside Park, and the Animas River.
